A new mind-blowing reveal in the tragic case of Ahmaud Arbery’s murder was reported by Channel 2 Action News on May 16th. The infamous video showing Arbery suffering gunshots in broad daylight was leaked by Greg McMichael, one of the men accused of taking his life.
According to Channel 2, Greg McMichael was certain that leaking the footage would help to set straight “the rumors” about him and his son Travis, who was filmed shooting Arbery in the chest.
Alan Tucker, an attorney from Brunswick, Georgia, who represents both McMichaels, said he advised Greg to publish the tape, believing it would de-escalate the racial tensions. He also added that Greg asked for his guidance as a friend, not as a lawyer.
Meanwhile, Frank Hogue, another attorney for the McMichaels, claimed during the May 15th press conference that the defense has proof that points to a drastically different story and that more than one video evidence of the 25-year-old jogger’s murder exists.
