Cessna Plane Crashes in North Carolina with 2 People Abroad


The Coast Guard of North Carolina is currently searching for survivors and debris after a plane crashed in the Atlantic ocean. The Cessna went down near Emerald Isle on Monday morning, March 23, about 12 miles southeast of Bogue Inlet.

Cessna presumably had two people on board, but their fate is right now unknown.

The incident was reported by Air Traffic Control from Cherry Point. They requested assistance from the NC command center. Right now, on March 24, Coastal Guard is using a boat, airplane and helicopter to locate the Cessna in the water.
