The latest disaster that hit Oklahoma around 5 a.m. April 22nd claimed at least 3 lives in the city of Madill. The third victim is currently hospitalized in critical condition, reports NBC.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, the tornado which riped through the city’s outskirts knocked out electricity in more than 7,000 houses and damaged at least 12 facilities, including two factory buildings — Oklahoma Steel&Wire and J&I Manufacturing.
At least one car was reportedly sucked into the twister, ending up on a tree.
In Texas, another tornado went through Polk County and the city of Jasper not far from Louisiana. In total, both Oklahoma and Texas were hit by at least 21 tornadoes in five hours.
