Panic is spreading as the news of the disease hounds the people of New Jersey. Face masks, gloves, and tissue papers are out of stock. Citizens are panic-buying for fear of an outbreak. Five new cases have been reported which makes the total count to 11. There are 14 tests in progress and 24 persons of interest under investigation. The Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Rick Cotton, tested positive of Coronavirus and is currently under self-quarantine. This recent development sent people in an even bigger panic.
Residents are advised to stay at home as much as possible and avoid any physical contact. New Jersey State Governor, Phil Murphy assures the public that the government is prepared and have enough resources to assist the victims, and communities if the situation will not be contained. Although the risk to New Jersey residents remains low, the government response units are always on alert.
